Bread or Fruit for breakfast before a test?

Both give you energy through their carbohydrate content. However, sugar (glucose) produced by digestion of the bread starch in the intestine will be released gradually and gives you a continuous supply for many hours. Sugar in fruit is mostly ready for absorption. It will enter the blood relatively fast and get used relatively fast. If your tests take more than 3 hours from the time of eating breakfast I recommend bread.
