Allergies or just a cold?

I'm feeling really under the weather. Woke up Saturday with a horribly irritated throat, slight nasal congestion, and tons of sneezing. I also noticed the same day that the trees in the park outside my window had just started blooming and I've had some serious joint pain as well. I'm not running a fever and I'm not that congested, but my throat and ears are king of itchy today. I was just wondering if this is more typical of a cold or allergies..I've never noticed myself having any type of allergies before but it also doesn't really seem like a cold!
