Why do Americans hate democratically elected presidents like Hugo Chavez, but love dictators like Pinochet?

No lets get this right the first time it isn't the American people it is our politicians they are stupid I think we should not even send money to anyone and fix the problems that we have here and let the whole world go down the drain. that is how I fell ok.
