Laptop sale under false pretenses?

I bought a laptop last week, and the salesmen said that i would get a battery life of 2 hrs 30 minutes to 3 hours. So i bought it, and today my sister was on it and the battery lasted 45 minutes playing some 2d miniclip game. i was led to believe id get the battery life he said, is this grounds to demand a refund at harvey norman?
