A second degree?

I have a Master's in Education and am currently teaching. I have always had a desire to get a law degree and become a practicing attorney. I've thought about this more recently with the uncertainty of school funding in so many states (I lost my job at home and moved to a totally diferent area, only to find out that now this state is having financial woes). What would I need, beyond my education degree and about how long would it take to get the degree? Any suggestions on how to go about this would be appreciated. Thanks!
