Crochet patt help shaping neck?
hi now im up to shaping the neck on the back piece of my cardigan patt says... SHAPE NECK. Next row:2ch(counts as 1htr), 1dc in 2ch sp, (3ch, 2dc in next 3ch sp) 6 times, 2ch, 1htr in next 3ch sp turn. 7ch sps. Next row: 2ch(counts as 1htr), 1dc in next 2ch sp, patt to end, turn. Next row: 2ch(counts as 1htr) 1dc in 2ch sp, patt to last 3ch sp, 1dc in 3ch sp, 1htr in last htr, turn. 6ch sps. Next row: 4ch (counts as 1htr, 2ch), 2dc in next 3ch sp, patt to end. 7ch sps.Fasten off.Now the next part of the patt is where i'm stuck at so ive got up to this part... Leaving 5 ch sps free, rejoin yarn to next 3ch sp, 4ch (counts as 1htr and 2ch), 2dc in next 3ch sp, patt to end. 7ch sps. Next row: 4ch (counts as 1htr, 2ch), 2dc in next 3ch sp, patt to last 2ch sp, 1dc in 2ch sp, 1htr in last htr, turn. Next row: 2ch (counts as 1htr), 1dc in next 3ch sp, patt to end, turn. 6ch sps. Next row: 4ch (counts as 1htr, 2ch) 2dc in next 3 ch sp, patt to last 3 ch sp, 2ch in 3ch sp, 2ch, 1htr in last htr. 7ch sps.Fasten off. Now where you rejoin yarn do you count 5 ch sps in from your last row which as 7ch sps or because its your neck do you count 5 ch sps from the end of your previous row so there is a 5 ch sps free in the middle of your garment for neck then build the rows up as stated so its the same as the other side. so you will have 2 shoulder parts on each side with the 5 ch sps in the middle for your neck. Hope you understand what i mean, and i also hope you will be able to help me. Many thanks. Regards
