What color furniture should I get?

I painted my living room calm air by behr which is a beige with yellow undertones, kind of like a sand color. I'm not sure what color furniture should I get with carpet? I was thinking chocolate furniture with a tan colored carpet. Does this sound good or should I get something else? Also should I mount my tv on the wall above the fireplace? I don't have a huge living room so I was thinking it would give me more sitting area.
