Why are nationalists even allowed a say in politics?

It's like accepting the advice of a group with severely low IQs while building a skyscr. Let's just ignore them and hope they'll make love to their flags and biased history without causing a nuisance for us intellects of society, who can control our emotions without falling for pathetic tribalistic pride and love.
