Would applying for an officer program while being enlisted in the Navy be a better decision?

I am currently in DEP as a Nuke and am trying to decide if it would be better to go enlisted and apply for an officer program, i. e. STA-21, to finish college after the first part of Nuke school, or to apply for an officer program while still in the remainder of DEP, such as NUPOC and BDCP. I would of course want to be a Nuclear officer. I currently have a 3.21 overall college GPA and 126 college credits. My major is in Engineering Physics, with a Music minor. I also intend to complete the first two years of a Business Management degree and get very close to completing a Japanese minor, in which I intend to complete both sometime later in my life. I have nearly all A's in all of my technical and science courses as well as all A's in my business courses. My GPA is low mainly due to my lack of effort my first year in college when I used to be a Music major, so all of my bad grades are in liberal arts cles. I had an abysmal 2.25 GPA my first year of college :l. Do I have a reasonable chance to qualify and be accepted into an officer program or should I wait until I complete most of Nuke school to apply for one? I'm just looking for some answers that may put me in the right direction in this crucial decision.
